About the course
If you want to work at the cutting edge of the IT industry, you need a degree with real world connections. QUT is the only major university in Queensland with a dedicated Faculty of Information Technology. A QUT Bachelor of Information Technology will give you the knowledge and practical experience required in today’s diverse, global and technologically sophisticated IT environment.
We lean on strong links with industry leaders to make sure our course content is constantly updated. This means you’ll receive up-to-the-minute material to prepare you for the real world. The Bachelor of Information Technology allows you to build your IT skill-sets and learn from industry related projects and case studies.
You even have the opportunity of 10-12 months of paid industry employment. The Cooperative Education Program is a joint venture between employers and educators to better prepare students for professional careers after graduation.
You can choose your major from Information Systems, Network Systems, Software Architecture, or choose not to do a major at all, but create your own area of specialisation.
